City welcomes 2025, Leadership class

After a day spent touring city facilities, members of the 2025 Leadership Pearland class got an introduction at City Hall on November 18.
The Chamber of Commerce program is designed for emerging community leaders.

“Alum from this program have had a great track record of going on and doing magnificent things,” said Pearland Chamber board president Alexander Okwonna.

The class includes Melissa Cook of Pearland Economic Development Corp., Sonia Cacique of Pearland Innovation Hub, Shannon Samuelson of UH-Clear Lake-Pearland, Cherilyn Brooks of Alvin Community College, Stephanie Stewart of TDECU Credit Union, Samantha Zwiebel of HCA Pearland Hospital, Noel Noble with TDECU Credit Union, Janelle Billy of Endress+Hauser Group, Sasha Buchheit with the City of Pearland and Erica Hurley of the YMCA.

Class members will also travel to the state capitol for Pearland Day in Austin in February.
