Friendswood Rotary 12×12 Art Project Auction Now Open

Date:

The Friendswood Rotary Club has officially launched the 2024 12×12 Art Project Auction, a unique fundraising effort to support fine arts in Friendswood schools. The online auction is live now and runs through 9 PM on December 6, featuring 32 stunning pieces of artwork created by local talent, including eight Friendswood High School art students and seven FISD fine arts teachers.

This annual project celebrates the artistry of the community while raising funds to inspire the next generation of creatives. All proceeds will be donated to the Friendswood ISD Education Foundation (FEF) to fund fine arts grants across the district.

In addition to bidding online at rotary12x12.givesmart.com, the artwork is on display at the Friendswood Public Library throughout November, giving the community a chance to admire the pieces in person before placing bids.

“This project allows us to highlight the artists of today while investing in the artists of tomorrow,” said Rotarian Luis Briones.

Prospective bidders who wish to support local artists and FISD’s fine arts programs may visit the auction site today to browse and bid on all 32 works of art.
