The Texas Historical Commission announced its “Real Places” statewide conference will be held April 23-25 at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.
The annual event includes more than 100 speakers from across the state and U.S., plus workshops and tours. Topics include downtown design, oral history 101, conveying the value of preservation, promoting heritage tourism, county historical commissions, tax credit success stories, geo-referencing to understand historical maps, an El Camino Real de los Tejas case study, and more.
