The Houston Rockets recently named Caren Wonders as the December 2024 Teacher of the Month. Wonders is a health science theory instructor for Turner College and Career High School.
This award honors educators who go above and beyond to inspire their students and make a positive impact on their lives.
The Houston Rockets Teacher of the Month program is designed to celebrate and honor educators who demonstrate exceptional dedication to their students and the community. Throughout the 2024-2025 season, six outstanding teachers are selected to receive this prestigious award.
As part of this recognition, Wonders received tickets to a Rockets home game, in-game recognition, a Rockets gift pack, and a surprise classroom visit from Clutch and the Clutch City Dancers. Pearland ISD along with the Houston Rockets, are committed to recognizing and supporting educators who make a difference in our community. By honoring these outstanding teachers, the team hopes to inspire others and highlight the vital role that educators play in shaping the future.
