Burglary

Jan. 17 (2:06 p.m.) A home burglary was reported in the 700 block of Hackberry Lane. A neighbor observed the front door open and contacted the homeowner. When police arrived, no one was inside the home, but the interior of the home appeared to be ransacked. Initially, the homeowner reports that jewelry is missing, and a bed was broken.

Theft

Jan. 13 (3:51 p.m.) The Kingspark/Whitehall Homeowners Association reported the theft of eight HOA signs used to notify residents of upcoming meetings.
Jan. 13 (6:16 p.m.) A juvenile offender is accused of Criminal Mischief and Theft. The juvenile is accused of stealing a family member’s cash, portable AC unit, TV, and Playstation 5 in the 1800 block of N. Mission Circle. The home was ransacked and other items were damaged.
Jan. 16 (9:40 a.m.) All four tires were stolen from a vehicle at Village on the Park retirement home at 400 E. Parkwood Avenue. A window was smashed, and a Garmin GPS was stolen.

Criminal Mischief

Jan. 16 (11:45 a.m.) A vehicle was vandalized in the Kroger parking lot at 3135 FM 528 on January 15th. The victim claims she was attempting to pull into a parking space when a black female in a white SUV was traveling the wrong direction and stole the parking spot. Inside Kroger, the victim confronted the woman about her reckless behavior. When the victim returned to her vehicle found a large scratch on the driver’s door.
Jan. 16 (5:19 p.m.) The driver’s side window of a truck was shattered as it was parked in the driveway of a residence in the 1500 block of Harvest Vine Court. The incident occurred sometime between 4:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Video surveillance captured an image of the suspect who is described as a black male wearing a grey hoodie getting out of small gray four door SUV.

Fraud

Jan. 13 (3:22 p.m.) A Friendswood business discovered unauthorized ACH debits on their business account. The incidents of theft occurred in December and January.
Jan. 16 (8:39 a.m.) A Friendswood man’s personal identifying information was used to rent an apartment in Arizona. Now, the rental payments have posted to his credit report.

Assault

Jan. 17 (4:37 p.m.) A 58-year-old Friendswood woman is accused of assaulting a manager at Luna’s Mexican restaurant, 704 W. Parkwood Avenue. The manager attempted to convince the suspect not to drive home due to her level of intoxication. The suspect slapped the manager and left the scene.
Jan. 18 (11:11 a.m.) Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Lisa Court for a disturbance involving a knife. One man was injured but fled with two others from the scene. The subsequent investigation resulted in the injured person being stopped in a vehicle in the 100 block of N. Friendswood Drive. He refused medical transport, electing seek medical treatment on his own. There were differing stories about the disturbance’s origins being drug-related and related to stolen cash. The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office declined charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Due to the offender desiring to seek medical treatment, other charges related to drugs found inside the stopped vehicle will result in a Municipal Court summons.
Jan. 20 (1:39 p.m.) A 38-year-old Friendswood woman was issued a citation for Assault after she allegedly slapped her boyfriend who was trying to leave the residence during an argument. The incident occurred in the 500 block of Misty Lane.

A male suspect, 47, of New Caney, was charged with Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1.
A male suspect, 34, of Houston, was charged with Possession of a Danger Drug and Endangering a Child.
A male suspect, 34, of Houston, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
A female suspect, 25, of Houston, was charged with No Driver’s License.
A female suspect, 33, of Pearland, was charged with Driving While License Invalid.
Andrew James Nguyen, 22, of Houston, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group1.
A male suspect, 27, of Houston, was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A male suspect, 47, of Friendswood, was charged with Terroristic Threat of a Family Member.
A male suspect, 24, of Pearland, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
