CCISD Students Shine in 2025 Rodeo Art Competition with Award-Winning Masterpieces

Date:

A total of 10 talented student artists from across Clear Creek ISD have been recognized with top honors in the 2025 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Contest, showcasing their creativity and artistic excellence.

Ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade, three Best of Show winners, four Gold Medal winners and three Special Merit winners were chosen.

“These recognitions are a testament to the dedication each of our art teachers has to ensuring our students receive the best possible visual arts experience,” said Greg Goodman, director of visual and performing arts.

The artwork will be displayed in the Hayloft Gallery, located on the first floor of NRG Center, during the Houston Rodeo from March 4-23, 2025. Those moving on to the Rodeo’s School Art Auction, which is the culmination of the competition, will be announced in February.

For more than 50 years, the School Art Program has challenged students and schools to think outside the box. The goal is to promote an awareness of agriculture and Western heritage. The subject matter for all artwork entered must depict the West’s heritage, lifestyle and historical and present-day landscapes.
