ACC Partners with Dale Carnegie Workforce Program

Date:

Alvin Community College recently created a new partnership with the Dale Carnegie Training of Austin, Houston, and San Antonio to provide corporate workforce training and professional development opportunities.

The partnership will provide grant funding opportunities through the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). The collaboration aims to empower Texas employers to upskill and reskill their workforce, addressing current and future business needs.

These programs are designed to enhance technical skills and foster soft skills that are vital in today’s dynamic work environment.

“Partnering with Dale Carnegie, a name synonymous with transformative professional growth, allows us to extend our reach beyond traditional educational frameworks and deliver real-world skills directly to Texas’ workplaces,” said Dr. Harold Ray Griffin, ACC dean of Career and Technical Programs. “This partnership will bring cutting-edge training solutions to Texas employers, helping them to thrive in an increasingly competitive market.”

With a legacy of over 100 years in professional training, Dale Carnegie’s methods have provided people with the tools to succeed. The training will help students improve their leadership, communication, employee management, teamwork, and adaptability skills.

“This partnership with Alvin Community College underscores our commitment to fostering talent and leadership in the workforce,” said Mr. Zhen Wu, Chief Operating Officer of Dale Carnegie Houston, San Antonio, and Austin.
