Friendswood High School Students Excel at SkillsUSA District 9 Competition

Friendswood High School students demonstrated outstanding skill and creativity at the SkillsUSA District 9 competition over the past week, earning multiple medals in graphic design, audio-visual production, and digital media categories. The competition provided students with the opportunity to showcase their technical expertise in design, video production, photography, and communication skills while competing against some of the top talent in the region.

Students who placed 1st or 2nd qualify to compete at the state competition in Corpus Christi in April, while those who placed 3rd qualify for technical testing at state.

Both Graphic Design teacher Angelique Suggs and Audio Visual Production teacher Al Tagliovore expressed pride in their students’ hard work and accomplishments.

“Super excited to announce our medalists! Their talent and commitment to their craft are inspiring, and I can’t wait to see what they accomplish at state,” Suggs said.

With multiple students advancing to the state competition in Corpus Christi in April, Friendswood High School continues to prove its excellence in career and technical education.
