Plans proceed for subdivision, industrial park

A 164-lot subdivision is in the works for a 51-acre tract located south of Bailey Road and west of Main Street.

Pearland Planning and Zoning Commissioners this month approved a final plat for Alexander Section 2. The original preliminary plat was approved in 2022 but lapsed and was approved again in late 2024. A plat, or detailed map, must be approved before development can begin.

The first section of the development is on the north side of Bailey Road. An adjacent third section will eventually be located on a strip of land to the south of Section 2, according to the Planned Development.

The commission also approved the final plat of Pearland Industrial Park, located on 36 acres at the southwest corner of Main Street and McHard Road.

Planning and Zoning typically meets on the third Monday of each month at City Hall.
