District 29 State Rep. Jeff Barry presents two State of the 89th Legislature Town Hall meetings on Saturday, March 22, as the session approaches the halfway mark.
The two sessions will be at 10 a.m. at Alvin Skate-N-Party, 1701 Hwy. 6, Alvin; and 2 p.m. at the Recreation Center, 4141 Bailey Road. Both events are free and open to the public.
A Republican and former Pearland ISD trustee and councilman, Barry left his seat on Pearland City Council in 2024 to run for state representative after longtime State Rep. Ed Thompson announced his retirement. District 29 includes north and east Brazoria County, which includes Alvin, about 70 percent of Pearland, and about half of Manvel.
