by Nicole Bradford

A community event marking the sealing of a Brazoria County time capsule will be held this Saturday at the Brazoria County Historical Museum in Angleton.

“Imagining the Future: A Time Capsule Event” is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the museum, 100 E. Cedar St. in Angleton. Among the activities at the free event is a video station where families can leave a personal message for the future. The capsule is set to be opened in 2075, and families are also invited to bring small items such as written memories, photos, and artifacts to be sealed into the capsule to give future generations a glimpse into life in Brazoria County in 2025.

Participating groups and organizations include the Office of County Judge Matt Sebesta, Brazoria County Historical Museum, the county library system, Freeport Historical Museum, and the Center for Arts and Sciences.

For more information, call the Brazoria County Historical Museum at 979-864-1208.
