Candidate forum scheduled Thursday evening

Pearland Area Republican Club hosts a candidate forum Thursday evening to acquaint voters with those running for Pearland ISD and Alvin ISD school board seats.
The forum will be held at the VFW Post #7109, 4202 W. Walnut St. Registration and networking begin at 6:30 p.m. with the program at 7 p.m., moderated by Jonette Sheridan, PARC vice chair of programs.
Candidates invited to participate are those vying for Pearland ISD — Azania Salazar and Daniel Stuckey; Position 6 —Jenny Francis and Jim Johnson; and Position 7—  Nanette Weimer (unopposed).
Candidates for Alvin ISD invited to the forum are Position 4: Regan Peterson and Brian Roberson Il; and
Position 5 — Cheryl Harris and T’Liza Kiel.
Pearland City Council Candidates Joseph Koza, Layni Cade, and Rick Fernandez were also invited. All are unopposed but are invited to answer questions after the forum.
The event serves as the monthly meeting for PARC, and refreshments will be served.
