Students enrolled in Pearland Independent School District and San Jacinto Community College dual-credit cosmetology program recently showcased their exceptional talents at the SkillsUSA Texas College Post-Secondary competition in Corpus Christi. The dedicated students demonstrated remarkable skill and dedication, bringing home a collection of medals that highlight the strength of the partnership and the promising future of these young professionals.

The SkillsUSA competition provides a platform for career and technical education students to demonstrate their expertise in various fields.

Pearland ISD’s representatives rose to the challenge, making their mark among competitors across the state. The district is thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of the following medalists:

Gold Medalists:

  • Barbering: Olivia Infante-Owens (Turner College and Career High School)
  • Natural Hair Care: Alajia Diggins (Dawson High School)

Silver Medalists:

  • T-Shirt Design: Anahi Alvizo-Murillo (Pearland High School)
  • Theatrical Makeup: Gabby DeLeon (Pearland High School)

Bronze Medalist:

  • Cosmetology: Alyssa Gonzalez (Pearland High School)
