Children in Pearland are gearing up for Winterfest on Saturday, Jan. 25 from 10 am to 5 pm at Independence Park.

Tickets are available online or can also be purchased at the Recreation Center at 4141 Bailey Road in Pearland.

The fun filled day offers children a chance to play in real snow. Other children’s activities will be available including snow tubing in the H-E-B Snow Zone, inflatables, petting zoo provided by VCA Westside Animal Hospital, rock climbing and more.

Games and live entertainment will also be part of the popular event.

The event itself is free to attend however all rides, activities and inflatables require a wristband. Wristbands can be purchased for $10 each.

Craft vendors will provide shopping opportunities and food vendors will offer a wide variety of culinary treats.

Independence Park and the basketball courts will be closed the day prior to the event, Friday Jan. 24, for setup. The playground and dog park will remain open on Jan. 24. On Saturday Jan. 25 the dog park will be closed.

Independence Park is located at 3449 Pearland Parkway in Pearland.
General Parking for this event is free and located at Pearland High School, 3775 S. Main Street. From Pearland High School, proceed along pedestrian walkways (on either Oiler Driver or No Name Road from PHS Searcy Building) toward Pearland Parkway. Proceed north onto Pearland Parkway and enter through the main entrance at Independence Park.
Accessible parking is located onsite at Independence Park, 3919 Liberty Drive. Vehicles must enter the park from Liberty Drive. Access from John Lizer Road will not be possible due to the road’s closure. Accessible parking will only be provided to vehicles with handicap placards and will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
 Shuttles will not be provided.
For the health and safety of all guests and for the consideration of all pets, Parks and Rec ask that those attending not bring pets (of course, service dogs in harness are welcome).
