The project area is located within the Mimosa Acres subdivision and involves  approximately 4,800 linear feet (LF) of drainage and paving improvements along 

the following streets: Woody Road, Lynn Drive, Cunningham Drive, Halbert  Drive, Francis Drive and W. Pear Street. 

The project generally involves approximately 7,000 LF of roadside ditch regrading, approximately 2,650 LF of 18” thru 24” RCP culvert replacement, driveway  and walkway replacements, and approximately 10,000 SY of 2” mill and asphalt 

overlay, as well as all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required for  the project.

SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS 

Alvin Independent School District will soon dispose of the confidential Special Education records of former students who have not received special education assessment, instruction or related services since the 20122013 school year. 

These records are no longer needed for educational purposes; however the records may be of future importance for purposes such as applying for social security benefits. Therefore, if parents or adult students (or former students) do not want confidential records destroyed, they should make that request in writing by September 1, 2020. 

Requests are to be sent to Alvin I.S.D., Federal and Special Programs Department, 301 E. House, Alvin, TX 77511. The student’s full name and date of birth should be included in the request, as well as the last known year of attendance in Alvin I.S.D. schools. If you need further information, please call the office of Federal and Special Programs, 281-245-2952.
