After six years with the City of Pearland, Community Development Director John McDonald is leaving to take the role of city administrator in the City of Spring Valley Village.
McDonald came to Pearland in 2017 from the City of Bellaire, where he was community development director.
McDonald was appointed city administrator in Spring Valley on Aug. 10 and assumes the new role this week. As City Administrator, McDonald serves as the chief administrative officer and provides oversight and direction for city departments.
