On Tuesday, Oct. 10, a momentous event took place in Friendswood ISD as the new CW Cline Elementary building celebrated its official dedication. The event saw an impressive gathering of over 350 community members, students, faculty, and distinguished guests, who joined together to commemorate the successful completion of this state-of-the-art facility, made possible by a voter-approved bond election in 2020.
The ceremony was a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Friendswood community towards education and the future of its students. The program included inspiring speeches and remarks from key figures, underscoring the importance of this landmark achievement.
Board of Trustees President Tony Hopkins addressed the audience, expressing gratitude for the community’s support and shared excitement about the possibilities that Cline Elementary presents.
Friendswood ISD Superintendent Thad Roher also took the stage, emphasizing the District’s dedication to excellence in education. “This dedication ceremony is a testament to our District’s commitment to ensuring our students have access to the best possible learning environment.”
Cline Principal Barry Clifford was presented with a key to the building and spoke passionately about the limitless potential of the new campus.
Following the speeches, the crowd was eager to explore the new campus, and the doors were opened for tours. The new Cline Elementary boasts cutting-edge classrooms, advanced technology infrastructure, and purpose-designed spaces for various activities.
