CCISD Athletic Hall of Honor Welcomes in the Class of 2023

Date:

Two Coaches, Eight Athletes and Two Teams Inducted into Prestigious Hall
The CCISD Athletic Hall of Honor inducted its newest members at a special ceremony and reception on September 23, 2023.

The Class of 2023 is the eighth group of distinguished alumni to be inducted into the CCISD Hall of Honor, with friends and family present to celebrate the notable achievement.

The latest to join the ranks of other inductees included two coaches, eight athletes, and two teams. A special selection committee chooses honorees to bring distinction, honor, and excellence to themselves, their alma mater, and their community.

The Athletic Hall of Honor is a 501c(3) established in 2016, and each year encompasses a specific era, folding in CCISD high schools as they were created. To qualify for induction in 2023, the nominees must have graduated from Webster, Clear Creek, Clear Lake, or Clear Brook high schools between 1948 and 1997.

Former CCISD Athletic Director and Athletic Hall of Honor Board member Debbie Fuchs served as the Master of Ceremonies, welcoming guests who included the CCISD Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Karen Engle and many family members, friends, and peers who were clearly the honorees’ biggest fans.

“I want to thank everyone here for your impact on CCISD athletics and these athletes we are honoring today,” said Fuchs. “Whether a coach, teammate, administrator, sponsor, or family member, your commitment and belief in these individuals – and in the importance of athletics – is what we are also celebrating this afternoon.”
