FRIENDSWOOD POLICE REPORT DECEMBER 18 – 25

Burglary

Dec. 18 (5:14 p.m.) A vehicle burglary was reported at Lake Friendswood Park located at 2533 Davis Prairie Lane. The back window was shattered, and a purse was stolen from the front passenger side floorboard. The suspect vehicle was a black Dodge Challenger. Possible suspects have been identified.

Theft

Dec. 18 (10:24 a.m.) A domestic worker is accused of stealing towels and linens from a rental property in the 700 block of Regency Court.
Dec. 18 (2:40 p.m.) An ATF registered multi-caliber lower receiver for a rifle did not make it to its final destination at a gun shop in the 2100 block of W. Parkwood Avenue. The weapon did pass through the Friendswood Post Office but was never delivered.
Dec. 19 (1:00 p.m.) A yellow VIVAX-Microtech VLOC 3 Pro utility locating transmitter box was stolen from the 1400 block of Eagle Lakes Drive.
Dec. 20 (2:47 p.m.) A theft was reported at Friendswood Liquor, 4002 FM 528. Two black females driving a Volvo, ran out of the store without paying for merchandise. They stole two bottles of Hennessy and 3 bottles of Tequila. One suspect has been identified by camera surveillance.
Dec. 24 (7:15 a.m.) Police are investigating the theft of a cell phone that occurred at Kroger, 3135 FM 528. Video surveillance captured a black male taking the cell phone from the victim’s purse and putting it into his pocket. The phone was tracked to the Reserve at Autumn Creek Apartments located at 3102 W. Bay Area Blvd where the suspect’s grey Volkswagon was found parked. The case is still under investigation.

Criminal Mischief

Dec. 19 (9:06 a.m.) An ex-boyfriend is accused of slashing the tires on his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle in the 16700 block of David Glen Drive.

Fraud

Dec. 19 (10:36 a.m.) A Friendswood man was the victim of a phishing email. He received an email from what he believed to be his bank. He clicked on a link to “verify his identity” and later discovered that his bank account was compromised with four unauthorized transactions.
Dec. 19 (3:03 p.m.) A Friendswood woman received a call from someone she thought was at her bank. It was a scammer who convinced the victim to provide her username and password for her bank account. She later discovered that a withdrawal was made from her bank account without her permission.

Assault

Dec. 24 (1:29 p.m.) Officers responded to a domestic assault at the Salem Square Apartments located at 110 Clearview Avenue. Both parties were issued citations for Assault by Contact. No arrests were made.
Traffic
Dec. 20 (1:28 p.m.) A tan SUV with a white top sideswiped a vehicle in the 400 block of Falling Leaf Drive. The driver, a white male in his teens or early 20’s, did not stop following the accident.
Dec. 24 (9:17 a.m.) A hit and run accident involving a parked vehicle was reported in the 800 block of Lockmoor Lane. The incident occurred between 11:00 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. leaving the parked vehicle with damage to the front passenger side.

Other Incidents

Dec. 19 (10:53 a.m.) Friendswood Police are investigating an incident of Unlawful Installation of a Tracking Device. A Friendswood man is in the midst of a divorce and discovered a tracking device attached to this vehicle in July. He now suspects that another tracking device has been installed on his vehicle.
Dec. 21 (10:15 p.m.) A report of loud music in the 1300 block of Riverrock Court resulted in a citation being issued to the 54-year-old homeowner for an open party violation. When the officer arrived to investigate the loud music, she discovered many young, underage partygoers in possession of alcohol. Some of the minors jumped the back fence. Others who remained on scene were identified and later released. The partygoers ranged in age from 15 to 18 years old and were all Friendswood High School students.
