A new networking event, the 62nd annual banquet, and the State of the City Address are all on the Pearland Chamber of Commerce’s event calendar over the next month.

The Chamber’s newest event, “speed networking,” is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at Saloon Door West, 1231 Broadway.

Modeled after speed dating events, the business networking version provides attendees an opportunity to make a 90-second pitch while connecting with other businesses.
Tickets are $20 and include light refreshments and one drink ticket. To register, visit Pearlandchamber.org or call 281-485-3634.

Also scheduled this month is the Chamber’s 62nd annual banquet, which will be held at Houston’s Lone Star Flight Museum, 11511 Aerospace Ave. Scheduled from 6 to 10 p.m. on Jan. 25, the banquet includes the Citizen of the Year and Business of the Year awards. Individual tickets are $100; sponsorships begin at $350 for Bronze Sponsors up to the $1,500 Gold level.

Pearland Mayor Kevin Cole is slated to give the annual State of the City address on Feb. 8 at the Chamber’s monthly membership luncheon, set for 11:30 to 1 p.m. at First Church of Pearland, 1850 Broadway St.

One of the most well-attended events, the State of the City luncheon typically draws more than 400 guests. For chamber members, individual tickets are $40, and sponsorships begin at $500.

For more information, visit the chamber website at pearlandchamber.org or call Leslie Esqueda at 281-485-3634.
