Friendswood Rotary Club Honors Former Chief Robert Wieners

The Friendswood Rotary Club held its First Annual Paul Harris Fellow Luncheon on April 10th.

Former Chief Robert Wieners was honored as an Honorary Member. The event, which commemorates the legacy of Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary, was marked by the presentation of a commemorative plaque.

Club President Dave Barron presented the plaque to Wieners, recognizing his significant contributions and service to the community. This recognition as an Honorary Member highlights Wieners’ longstanding commitment and dedication, which aligns with the values and ideals of Rotary International.

The luncheon honored Wieners and celebrated Rotary’s principles of community service and leadership. Members of the community and the Rotary Club gathered to acknowledge the impact of leaders like Wieners and foster a spirit of collaboration and philanthropy.

This annual event promises to continue recognizing and inspiring future leaders in the Friendswood community, in keeping with Paul Harris’s vision when he founded Rotary in 1905.
