Burglary

July 27 (7:39 a.m.) A vehicle burglary was reported in the 1200 block of White Wing Circle. A company vehicle was parked in the street in front of a home. The burglary occurred between 11:00 p.m. and 7:25 a.m. An air pump was stolen.
July 27 (12:49 p.m.) A vehicle burglary was reported in the 16900 block of David Glen. The incident occurred at 3:30 a.m. and was captured on home video. The suspects stole a reciprocating saw, an impact drill and welding tools from a work truck.

Theft

July 24 (2:10 p.m.) A rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle. The victim does not know where the theft occurred but believes it may have been in Webster or at HEB.
July 24 (2:45 p.m.) O’Reilly’s at 105 W. Edgewood Drive reported a theft incident involving a battery jump starter. The manager of O’Reilly’s received a call from a neighboring business alerting them to a suspicious individual attempting to sell a new jump starter. Upon conducting an inventory check, it was confirmed that a Schumacher Electric Jump Starter was missing from their stock. According to reports, the suspect, described as a skinny, balding, black male aged between 50-60 years old, was seen trying to sell the stolen jump starter to a nearby business. When the business declined to purchase the item, the suspect reportedly went to a pawn shop in Pearland where he successfully pawned the stolen property. A warrant is currently pending for the arrest of a 56-year-old Alvin man in connection with this theft.

Fraud

July 25 (11:01 a.m.) A Friendswood woman received a reminder notice about a loan payment due with NetPayAdvance.com. Since she did not apply for a loan, she discovered that her personal identifying information was used without her permission.
July 26 (10:39 a.m.) A Friendswood woman fell victim to a currently trending Facebook Marketplace scam involving rental property.

Criminal Mischief

July 27 (3:49 p.m.) A vehicle was vandalized in the parking lot of Friendship Haven, 1500 Sunset Drive. The victim believed the vehicle was keyed sometime between 2:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. The victim claims he had a similar incident that occurred on July 9th.

Assault

July 27 (8:50 a.m.) A 32-year-old Friendswood man is accused of assaulting and impeding the breathing of his girlfriend at a home in the 16400 block of Blackhawk Blvd. A warrant is pending.

Traffic

July 28 (9:52 p.m.) A hit and run crash with a parked vehicle occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. in the 100 block of W. Castlewood Drive.

Other Incidents

July 23 (10:12 p.m.) A resident in the 600 block of Northfield Drive reported suspicious activity. A medium-framed dark-skinned person wearing a grey hoodie knocked on the front door and fled to a vehicle described as a light blue Dodge Challenger. The person who knocked on the door purposefully hid his or her face at the door. When one of the residents went outside to approach the vehicle, an unknown object was thrown at them. A similar incident occurred at 1:51 a.m. on July 23rd, in the 800 block of Woodcrest Drive. An unknown person rang the doorbell and set off firecrackers when they left.

Arrests

A Galveston man, 24, was charged with Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence.
