Librarian Selected for Accelerated Library Leaders Institute

Sablatura Middle School librarian Rachael Welsh was recently selected from a group of Texas librarians to participate in the Texas Accelerated Library Leaders (TALL) Institute.

During this conference, they will study leadership principles and practices, interpersonal communication, ethics, organizational change in transforming libraries, mentorship, conflict negotiation, and planning leadership development.

“I am so excited to be able to represent Pearland ISD at the TALL Texans Institute,” Welsh said. “I will be collaborating with school, academic and public library personnel from all over Texas to share the great work we’re doing in our libraries.”

TALL Texans will be held in November and will be led by Maureen Sullivan of Sullivan and Associates and Suzanne Haley of Changing the Lens. The 2024 Tall Texans class includes:
