Fishing, hunting licenses on sale

New fishing and hunting licenses went on sale Aug. 15 for the 2024-2025 season, Texas Parks and Wildlife announced.

Current year licenses expire at the end of August, and new ones can be purchased online at txfgsales.com, in person at retail locations throughout Texas, or by phone at 800-895-4248. A $5 fee applies to online purchases.

License purchasers can donate $1, $5, $10, or $20 to help support the Hunters for the Hungry program or the Fund for Veterans Assistance. Donations to the Hunters for the Hungry program allow hunters to donate legally harvested deer to participating processors.

he processed meat goes to local food banks to feed Texas families in need. Donations to the Fund for Veterans Assistance program provide grants to veteran service organizations and nonprofit charitable institutions, assisting veterans and their families at the community level throughout Texas.
