Hot Dog! Ed White Elementary Claims ‘Top Dog’ Honors

Date:

The Clear Creek Education Foundation’s (CCEF) 11th annual “Dine Out to Donate” event was a tremendous success, with over 20 VIP local restaurants participating in this year’s event. At each restaurant, diners voted for their Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) School of choice to receive up to $750 for school programs.

Congratulations to the schools with the highest participation percentage based on student population! CCEF awarded $4000 to first and second place thanks to the sponsorship of Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins and Mott, LLP, and Luna’s.
Campus Top Dog: Ed White Elementary

Elementary:  Ed White and Clear Lake City Elementary

Intermediate:    League City Intermediate and Westbrook Intermediate

High School:  Clear Creek, Clear Brook, and Clear Path

The school with the highest overall participation was Ed White Elementary, awarded the traveling “Golden Hot Dog” trophy.

“Dine Out to Donate” was held on Monday, October 7th. Participating restaurants opened their doors for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, donating a portion of that day’s revenue to CCEF. The funds will benefit the students and teachers of CCISD.

“The generosity of our community is instrumental in helping us enhance educational opportunities for students in CCISD. Together, we are making an impact on the future of education. Thank you to everyone who dined out on October 7 and for the restaurants who continue to support our district,” said Melinda Mintz, CCEF Chairperson.
