Pearland ISD Education Foundation’s fall fundraiser on Saturday, November 2, will include live music, a silent auction, raffles, and more from 2 to 7 p.m. at Vallenson’s Brewing Company in Pearland.
“It’s a fun family event,” said Foundation President Tony Carbone, who appeared at the October school board meeting to invite trustees and the public.
Money raised will go toward mini-grants provided by the foundation.
“We had over 295 mini grants that teachers applied for, anywhere from board games to kicking off the Dawson PALS program,” Carbone said.
Dawson’s PALS is a school-based leadership program that creates opportunities for students to develop friendships.
Founded more than a decade ago, the nonprofit raises money to enhance local schools, providing funding for classroom projects and teacher and staff recognition. Fundraising events include a spring black-tie gala.
