CITY OF BROOKSIDE VILLAGE
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING REAUTHORIZATION OF BUILDING PERMIT FEES AND
OTHER FEES
NOTICE is hereby given that, in accordance with Section 214.908 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City Council of the City of Brookside Village will hold a public hearing to give all interested parties the right to appear and express their views regarding the reauthorization of building permit fees, which fees include those charged by the City of Brookside Village as a condition to constructing, renovating or remodeling a structure and contained in Appendix A “Fee Schedule” of the City of Brookside Village City Code. In addition, Chapter 51, Chapter 54, and Chapter 102 of the Texas Local Government Code authorizes General-law municipalities to adopt ordinances that include the ability to charge and collect fees for services provided by the municipality, as long as these ordinances are reasonable and serve the public’s interest. The list of fees for services are also found in Appendix A “Fee Schedule,” of the City of Brookside Village City Code.
The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in the Community Room, located at City Hall, 6243 Brookside Rd., Brookside Village, Texas 77581, at its meeting starting at 6:30 PM.
