Pearland ISD Trustee Crystal Carbone has been elected to an interim position representing Region 4 for the Texas Association of School Boards.
TASB is a nonprofit established in 1949 to serve Texas school boards. Carbone has served on the Pearland ISD board since 2018. She currently serves as the secretary-treasurer of the Gulf Coast Area Association of School Boards. She previously served as a founding board member of the Pearland ISD Education Foundation, vice-chair of the Adult Reading Center, chair of the Pearland Library Board, vice-president of the Pearland Silverlake Lions Club, and member of the Brazoria County Child Welfare Board.
