Candidate filing for city and school board races in May will continue through February 14.
The May 3 election will decide three seats on the Pearland City Council and seats on the Pearland ISD and Alvin ISD school boards.
Up for reelection on Pearland City Council are Position No. 1, No. 5, and No. 6. Prospective candidates may file starting January 15 at the office of the city secretary, 3519 Liberty Drive, weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Packets can be downloaded from the city’s website at pearlandtx.gov.
In Pearland ISD, seats up for reelection are Position No. 7, Position No. 5, and Position No. 6. More information is available by calling 832-736-6127.
Alvin ISD Trustees with terms expiring this year are Positions No. 4 and No. 5. Prospective candidates may file during business hours at the Tommy King Administration Building, 301 E. House St. in Alvin. More information on the board and upcoming election can be found at alvinisd.net.
