Silvercrest Elementary Ranked #4 Elementary School in Houston Area

Date:

Children at Risk (C@R) has ranked Texas public schools for the 2023-24 school year showcasing incredible progress in education. Pearland ISD is excited to announce that Silvercrest Elementary was ranked #4 among top Houston area schools.

For the past 20 years, C@R has been a leading voice in evaluating Texas public schools. Their annual rankings provide valuable insights for parents, educators, and community members, fostering a deeper understanding of school performance and stimulating conversations about the quality of public education across the state.

These rankings underscore the dedication and hard work of educators across Texas. The grading system is based on several factors, including student achievement, progress, and performance gaps. For elementary and middle schools, grades are based on student achievement, student growth, and relative performance (test scores relative to schools with similar levels of poverty).

“This remarkable achievement reflects the dedication of Silvercrest Elementary’s teachers, staff, students, and parents, and reinforces our commitment to fostering a nurturing and challenging learning environment,” Stacie Muras, Silvercrest Elementary principal said.
