Museum program is set for Thursday

Brazoria County Historical Museum, 100 East Cedar, in Angleton, will present “Homemade: Comfort Foods Throughout Black History” on Thursday, February 27.

Free and open to the public, the 6 p.m. program is the second in the museum’s “Homemade” series led by Library and Archival Manager Blue Schuler, who will showcase historic recipes in the museum’s collection.

Schuler will explore Black cuisine specifically, allowing attendees to learn more about where different foods came from in Black cultures and communities and the lives of the Black individuals who created these recipes.
