Student’s Artwork Featured on Limited Edition Houston Dash Apparel

Date:

Alana Reyes, a talented student from Turner College and Career High School, was selected by the Houston Dash as one of six local female artists to design a limited-edition “She Shines” t-shirt. As part of the Young Art Pros program, Reyes contributed her artistic vision to a unique design that celebrates the strength and inspiration of women who inspire Houston both on and off the pitch.

The “She Shines” project tasked each artist with creating a letter for the t-shirt design, drawing inspiration from the impactful women in their lives. Alana Reyes’s contribution embodies the powerful themes of self-love and self-confidence, values she attributes to her greatest inspiration: her mother.

“My mom has always shown me what it means to be strong and confident,” said Alana Reyes. “I wanted my design to reflect that inner strength and the importance of loving yourself.”

The limited-edition “She Shines” t-shirt features the combined artwork of the Young Art Pros, each letter telling a story of female empowerment. This collaboration highlights the diverse talent within the Houston community and the profound impact of female role models.

Alana also expressed her admiration for Houston Dash player Ryan Gareis, citing her as a source of inspiration on the field.
