Plans are underway for the 15th annual Family Crawfish Festival benefitting the Neighborhood Center, which is scheduled this year for Sunday, May 18, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2320 Hatfield Road.
The family-friendly event begins at noon and includes all-you-can-eat crawfish and shrimp with sides and beverages in a $75 all-inclusive wristband option. A $40 wristband includes one plate of crawfish, hot dog or chili pie, desserts, and limited drink options.
The JuiceBox band and activities will provide live music, including a 1 p.m. cornhole tournament with prizes, live and silent auctions, a Booze Barrel, and other raffles. Open to all ages, the festival includes bounce houses and activities for children. Ages 10 and under will be admitted free.
All money raised goes toward programs of the nonprofit Neighborhood Center, such as a community food and baby pantry, rental and utility assistance, school supply vouchers, and financial stability courses.
