It’s almost time again for the traditional beginning of the holiday season in Friendswood….when the Heritage Gardeners present their 60th Anniversary Christmas Home Tour and events, Home for the Holidays. This year the big weekend is November 22-23, 2025.
Five decorated private homes and the beautiful Briscoe Gardens are all part of the tour and tickets are already on sale. The tours are from 1 to 5 pm on both days.
Heritage Gardeners are pleased to invite the community to the Woodruff home in Windsong. The beautiful spacious 6400 sq. ft. home and property belong to Ginger and Jonathan Woodruff. The couple moved from Spring Branch to Friendswood in 2005. What a rollercoaster of events occurred since then.
The home they chose was a bilevel that they reworked together to make it what they wanted it to be. The renovations were completed, and the home had a new look along with a happy family. Fortunately, the home survived Hurricane Harvey in 2017 (August 17). What it did not survive is a fire that started in the attic and burned down the entire house in January 2018. Nothing but a few antique furniture pieces could be saved. Separate mother-in-law quarters were not harmed.
The plans for the new house could then be everything they wanted a house to have. The result is a modern farmhouse with 12-foot ceilings greeting those who enter. Unique touches for storage, beauty and efficiency are all part of the new construction. Tourgoers will be delighted with gorgeous decorations composed of both vintage from their lifetimes as well as new pieces. The house’s theme for the tour is A Frosty Farmhouse Christmas.
The Woodruffs have four children: Hazel 19 and a student at Texas A&M University, Eli 13, Lincoln 11 and Scarlett 6. The three youngest are in Friendswood ISD and very involved in extracurricular and sports activities.
The home is a must see and Heritage Gardeners are excited to have it on the holiday tour.
Tickets are available from any garden club member as well as from the following local businesses: Friendswood Chamber of Commerce, Friendswood Frame & Gallery, Silver Bee Boutique, Marrone Market, Phoenix Cleaners, Two Friends Gifts, Wild Birds Unlimited of Pearland, Friendswood Scoop Shop, Blue Goose Plant & Home, and

Tickets will be sold at the clubhouse during the events at 112 W. Spreading Oaks in Friendswood. The Holiday Market of vendors and the bake shop are free with not tickets needed to attend. Both open at 9 am each day.
