Reenactment of the 1836 Treaties of Velasco signing
A reenactment of the 1836 Treaties of Velasco signing will be held at 1 p.m. at 1304 Monument Drive in Surfside Beach. The treaties were considered the first steps towards officially recognizing Texas’s independence from Mexico. The event includes cannon firing, vendors, and walking tours.
