The Friendswood ISD Board members held a Board Workshop February 28.
Celebration of Excellence awards were given to Varsity Cheerleaders who placed seventh place at their State competition on January 14. Following this win, they won the National Championship in the Intermediate division at NCA Nationals in Dallas.
They had the second highest overall score of the competition including all coed and advanced teams.
There were over 500 teams from around the country that competed.
Game Day cheerleaders placed sixth in the nation in the Game Day Division. The scores between the Top 10 Game Day teams were less than 0.1 apart.
Celebration of Excellence recipients included the following seniors: Madelyn Benson, Guilliana Devora, Brooke Eubanks, Kelli Mulloy, Ainsley Hatch, Rquel Uceda, and Erica Howard.
Junior recipients included Korin Beverly, Ana Black, Maddie Blackmon, Corah Blair, Addison Brassell, Georgia Godwin, Kaitlyn Liles, Ava Michael, Jillian Reyes, Adalyn Saldana, Lauren Sandoval, Ashlyn Schrock, Carson Warneke, Jessica Cole, and Jordan Wolfe.
Sophomore recipients included Mia Calles, Brooke Davis, Cali Frangente, Samantha Gibson, Delaney Johnson, Madison McDuff, Halland Morales, Rylie Whitley, and Jaudam Resnick.
Freshman recipients were Brilee Bristow, Claudia Church, Kinleigh Crochet, Aubrey Cullen, Autumn Davis, Mckenzie Evernden, Elizabeth McHazlett, Abby Miller, Ellie Mitchell, Jamie Paulder and Sara Wignail.
