Entries close Aug. 11 for the annual Pearland Art on the Pavilion, scheduled for Oct. 14 and 15 at the Pearland Town Center events pavilion.

The event is entering its ninth year, and some of the returning artists have been in the show since its inception, says Pearland Convention and Visitors Bureau director Tracy Rohrbacher, who said she’s also fielded inquiries from new artists.

The event takes place each year as the Texas summer heat subsides and is free to the public. In addition to a juried art show, Art on the Pavilion includes live music from Houston area acts, food trucks and one-of-a-kind gifts and decor on sale.

Saturday’s music lineup so far includes local singer and songwriter Joe Calderon at 10:30 a.m. and League City native and country western singer Tucker Hart at 3 p.m. Sunday’s music schedule includes Houston guitarist Anthony Puskas at 10:30 a.m., rock and country duo Patty O’Beers at 12:45 p.m. and Houston singer-songwriter Wendy Elizabeth Jones at 3 p.m.

Hours for the event are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. More information and artists applications can be found at visitpearland.com/artshow/
The festival takes place in the central outdoor area at the town center, 11200 Broadway St.
