ACC Regents Hear Program and Cost Report

Alvin Community College regents heard an analysis of the credit and technical programs at the college during their meeting on October 26.

The analysis covered data trends over the past three years on enrollment data, contact hours, number of degrees and certificates awarded, along with fiscal data regarding the college operations.

Most Associate Degree graduates over the past five years have been in General Studies, Nursing, Process Technology, Business Management, Health Science, Law Enforcement, and Industrial Design.

Many of the Associate Degree programs will undergo a formal review to determine if any adjustments should be made to the curricula.

Regents also:

-approved contract for e-sports equipment and upgrades

-heard annual Title IX report

-approved budget amendments

-approved contract for engineering and training services for Physical Plant

-approved monthly financial reports

-approved hiring of Librarian, IT director, and Computer Networking staff members

The board will meet on Thursday, November 16, at 6 p.m. in the Nolan Ryan Center.
