Sunset Cinema presents film, fireworks

The Pearland Parks and Recreation Department’s Sunset Cinema at Independence Park kicks off on Saturday, February 10, with the Pixar film, “Elemental.”

Free and appropriate for all ages, the event opens at 4 p.m. with a movie at 6 p.m. and a fireworks show at 8 p.m. Blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged, and glass and pets are prohibited. Food trucks will be on site.

The 2023 animated comedy-drama is rated PG for “some peril, thematic elements and brief language.”

Parking will be available at Pearland High School and accessible parking for vehicles with handicap plates or placards may park onsite, entering from Liberty and John Lizer Drive.
