The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation (FEF) proudly announced the recipients of its Spring Legacy Grants, totaling $40,200.99, on Friday, April 12. These grants are designed to exceed the thresholds of FEF’s traditional Adopt-A-Grant program in size, scope, and impact, ranging from $5,000 to $40,000 per project.

A Sensory Room Glow Up grant totaling $21,446.75 was awarded to FHS Quest Teacher Kaitlyn Alati. The grant will allow Alati to create a flexible, adaptable sensory space at the school to support students’ health, well-being, and learning, particularly those with sensory needs.

Bales Math Coach Chantell Edmond’s “Bronco Science Lab: Where Everyone is a Scientist!” project received a $18,754.24 grant. This grant will transform science and engineering education at Bales Intermediate, fostering a love for discovery and innovation among all students through hands-on experiences.

These Legacy Grants represent FEF’s commitment to enhancing education and enriching the learning experiences of Friendswood ISD students.

Legacy Grants are powered by FEF’s Endowment Fund, which is funded by Century Club members and general donations to the Endowment. Visit https://fef.myfisd.com/ways-to-give/century-club or contact the Foundation at EducationFoundation@fisdk12.net to learn more.
