CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD FY2024-25 PROPOSED BUDGET

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING is hereby given in accordance with Section 8.03(c) of the Charter of the City of Friendswood, Texas, and Section 102.006(a)(b) and (c) of the Texas Local Government Code, that the City Council of the City of Friendswood will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and express their views, both written and oral, regarding the City of Friendswood FY2024-25 Proposed Budget. The City Council will hold this public hearing at a Special Council Meeting on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Friendswood City Hall, located at 910 S Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546.

This budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $2,619,447 or (10.4%), and of that amount $423,981 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.

The public may inspect the proposed budget at any time on the City’s website: https://www.ci.friendswood.tx.us/573/Annual-Budget, or by appointment from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, in the City Secretary’s Office, City Hall, 910 S Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546 or by appointment at the Friendswood Public Library, 416 S Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546, during regular operating hours.
