Shadow Creek tricks South Houston 49-0

Date:

In a Halloween night matchup, Shadow Creek got all the treats, while South Houston only got tricked.  The Sharks opened their scoring in the first quarter with a 13-yard run by senior Alex Kirkland, who led the Sharks with 109 yards on 11 carries, with 3 touchdowns.

Shadow Creek widened their lead in the 2nd quarter on sophomore Tristan Willis’ 5-yard touchdown carry and a 59-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Dante Mayes to junior Chris Stewart.  Kirkland added a 33-yard touchdown run to push the lead to 28-0 at the half.

A 28-yard pass from Mayes to senior Croix Pitre set up a short touchdown run by Willis, and another touchdown run by Kirkland pushed Shadow Creek’s lead to 42-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Senior Dillon Boone finished off the Sharks scoring with a 15-yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter.  Senior Aiden Bui was 7-for-7 on PATs.

Defensively, junior linebacker Giavani “Tommy” Baker led Shadow Creek with 7 of the team’s 49 tackles, 3 of which resulted in losses.

Shadow Creek finishes its regular season at home Thursday night, hosting Sam Rayburn for Senior Night, while the Trojans travel to The Rig to play Pearland Thursday night.  Both games kick off at 6:30 pm.
