Alvin ISD thanked voters for supporting the $380 million bond proposition to build, expand, and secure its school campuses.
Of 57,698 votes cast during early voting, 35,061 supported the bonds on Election Day.
“Thank you to our community for the overwhelming support,” the district announced shortly after the results were released.
The school district is expected to top 34,000 enrollment within the next five years. Projects funded through the district’s last bond election in 2018 — the largest in its history — were completed on time and under budget, district officials said.
Funds from the 2024 bond package will be used for land purchases and construction of three new campuses, security vestibules at 25 campuses, plus monitoring equipment and backup generators.
