LEGO Star Wars Christmas! at Brazoria County Historical Museum

Date:

The Brazoria County Historical Museum will again partner with the Brazos Brick Club to bring you an exciting new exhibit, A LEGO Star Wars Christmas! The exhibit will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the collaboration of Lucasfilm and LEGO.

In 1999, LEGO joined forces with Lucasfilm and released thirteen sets of LEGO Star Wars based on the Original Trilogy. It was the first time in LEGO’s history that it journeyed into the realm of licensed products. Throughout 2024, the company has encouraged Brick Clubs around the globe to host events dedicated to their 25th anniversary.

To commemorate this global celebration, the Brazos Brick Club and the Museum will host an exhibit dedicated to the Star Wars franchise with a festive twist. Visitors will explore the sci-fi galaxy in all its wonder as it celebrates Christmas. LEGO displays will include ships featured in the original films to new innovative takes on what the galaxy can hold.

The Museum will kick off this exciting new exhibit with a fun-filled holiday celebration on Saturday, December 7, from 10 am to 2 pm. Guests can visit with Brick Club members, including master builders from the hit TV show LEGO Masters, take part in lightsaber training, create their own Christmas cards and other crafts, and have their Christmas picture taken with a Star Wars figure.

The Museum will also host a family-build competition at 10:30 am, where families will have an hour and a half to create their own LEGO design.

Guests and the winner will judge entries announced at the end of the event.  The winners will receive a family four-pack of tickets to visit Brick Fest Live in Houston!

A LEGO Stars Wars Christmas will be on display from December 7, 2024, through January 3, 2025. Admission is free and open to the public. The Museum is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Come out as this fusion of Star Wars and Christmas brings together the magic of both worlds, creating a holiday experience that is truly out of this world!
