Deadline nears for new citizen program

Date:

March 13 is the application deadline for the “UniverCity of Pearland” class, an eight-week, first-ever class offering an inside look at the City of Pearland.

The class is free to adults 18 and up, and spots are limited. The program will meet on Thursdays beginning March 27 with a 5:30 pm light dinner and a presentation from 6 to 8 pm. The class is limited to 20 people, and locations vary depending on that evening’s presentation.

Applicants must be registered to vote in Texas, be a city resident, and commit to attending all sessions, among other requirements. Graduates will be recognized at the May 19 City Council meeting. For information or to register, go to tinyurl.com/PearlandUniverCity
