Zoning Board rejects variance requests

Date:

The Pearland Zoning Board of Adjustment on June 4 rejected a requested variance for an enclosed patio addition that encroaches on a 20-foot rear building line at 13704 Mooring Pointe Drive.

The board also rejected variances for 5-foot side setbacks for two residential lots at N. Washington Avenue and Jasmine Street in the Old Townsite; and a height variance allowing a 6-foot decorative front yard fence at 8909 and 8917 Hawk Road, exceeding the 4-foot height limit. The owner told the board the additional height would create additional safety for children and pets.

Approved at the meeting was a special exemption for a patio and pool replacement at 2704 Country Club Drive.
