Shadow Creek dropped their game to Pearland 20-13 four weeks ago and had totally dominated three district opponents since then 140-0 with their latest being a 53-0 thrashing of their district cousin Alvin.

The Sharks (6-1, 3-1) will face the Dawson Eagles (4-3, 4-0) in their next district conflict with the league championship on the line. The Eagles will host the Sharks on Friday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Pearland ISD Stadium. The Eagles are fresh off a 21-7 win over the Oilers (5-2, 3-1) in the PearBowl.

Shadow Creek faced a hapless Alvin team that has presented little resistance over the last several years. The Yellowjackets entered the game with only a pair of wins against teams that had a combined 2-12 record this season.

The Sharks came into the game with a 5-1 mark, with their only setback was a 20-13 loss to Pearland.

The offense for Shadow Creek set the tone for the game as RB Tylik Burton took the first handoff of the game and raced 80 yards for a touchdown. Aiden Bui kicked the first of six PATs to give the Sharks a 7-0.

The rest of the game belonged to Shadow Creek sophomore QB Cobey Sellers, who threw four touchdown passes to three different receivers, starting with Alex Kirkland, who scored on a 23-yard pass to make the score 14-0.

The first period ended with UH commit defensive end Zion Taylor scooping up a fumble and rambling 57 yards for a TD to make the score 21-0.

In the second quarter, Sellers threw a 52-yard TD pass to Chris Stewart, a 14-yard pass to Burton, and a 9-yard pass to Stewart to stretch the lead to 42-0 at intermission.

The only score by the Sharks in the third quarter came from Bui, who booted a 35-yard field goal to make the score 45-0.

The fourth quarter saw Stewart score on a 20-yard dash, with Sellers adding the two-point conversion for the 53-0 win.

Sellers was 11-of-14 passing for 153 yards and four TDs.

Burton had two carries for 100 yards and a score and two catches for 23 yards and a score.
Stewart had four grabs for 72 yards and two TDs, while Kirkland had three catches for 34 yards and a TD.

Bui was 6-for-6 in PATs and one field goal for a total of nine points.
