The Cole Gordon ‘Helping Hand’ Foundation has been tirelessly serving meals to communities devastated by Hurricane Beryl over the past week.
On Saturday, volunteers from the foundation distributed boiled shrimp plates with potatoes and corn to first responders, city workers, linemen, and residents. Remarkably, over 1,500 meals were served within just three hours.
The foundation’s efforts extended into Sunday, with an additional 600 plates provided on Galveston Island. The shrimp served was generously donated by Katie’s Seafood House, a local favorite on the island.
The Cole Gordon Helping Hand Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in memory of Cole Gordon, a Friendswood High School student who tragically passed away during his senior year in 2019.
The foundation is committed to bringing people together through livestock projects and promoting selfless giving.
