FEF Kicks Off Annual Adopt-A-Grant Campaign

Date:

The Friendswood ISD Education Foundation (FEF) has officially launched its annual Adopt-A-Grant campaign, kicking off on Giving Tuesday, December 2nd, in celebration of the global #GivingTuesday movement. This districtwide initiative invites community members, families, and local businesses to support innovative educational projects created by Friendswood ISD teachers and staff. Grants will be available for adoption online through March 6, 2026.

Each year, educators across FISD submit grant proposals designed to enhance learning in their classrooms. These grants span a wide range of opportunities, including STEM enrichment, hands-on learning tools, literacy development, classroom technology, the arts, and activities that build student engagement and creativity. Donors can browse available grants and choose exactly which projects they wish to support.

Last year, the Adopt-A-Grant campaign raised over $450,000 and funded more than 600 grants across the district. This incredible show of support highlighted the power of our Friendswood #commUNITY, and FEF is excited to grow that impact even further, with more than 640 grants totaling over $600,000 submitted for the 2025-2026 school year.

Community members can visit fef.myfisd.com/grants to explore available grants or contribute to campus-based grant treasure chests. Whether large or small, every gift plays an important role in strengthening FISD’s #commUNITY and supporting the work of dedicated educators.

Adopting a grant also serves as a thoughtful holiday gift and a tax-deductible donation for families and businesses. After the campaign concludes, FEF will review remaining grants and use proceeds from its annual fundraising events to support additional projects, ensuring as many teachers and students as possible benefit from this community-wide effort.

For more information, please contact FEF Executive Director Ashley Adair at AAdair@fisdk12.net or 281.996.6655.

FEF extends heartfelt appreciation to its donors, corporate partners, and Friendswood community members whose generosity makes this campaign possible. Together, we can empower educators and inspire every learner in Friendswood ISD.
