Snooze A.M. Eatery, in Webster (Clear Lake) is once again partnering with Heritage Gardeners in Friendswood for a Pancake Day promotion. This year it is a week-long event.
Starting Wednesday, February 19 through Tuesday, February 25 the garden club will receive proceeds from sales of the eatery’s Pancake of the Day.
Last year, the eatery was new to the area and asked Heritage Gardeners if a partnership for National Pancake Day was possible. The restaurant would give a percentage of the proceeds of the special menu’s orders to the club and a group of Snooze workers would also donate their time to work in the club’s Briscoe Gardens.
A group joined club members in April last year to place mulch in the garden as well as plant a new area.
“We initiated a pollinator garden in front of the gazebo near the sidewalk with last year’s funds,” Club President Michelle Thompson said. “I would like to continue with the pollinator and native plants theme garden this year with funds going toward additional plants.”
Thompson will return again this year to be at Snooze Saturday, February 22 from 9 am to noon representing Heritage Gardeners and creating interest in and answering questions about gardening and pollinator.
The restaurant is located at 820 W. Bay Area Blvd. in Webster.
